Client wanted a unique water bottle that would match the brand guidelines of ‘science geeks’. The bottles shape is inspired by the beakers and glassware chemists use. The narrow point of the cylinder provides a natural grip for the user.
Printed a full scale prototype using a Makerbot to show how the product would function and to revise the design.
Started FOXFURCO brand about a year ago. We provide professional performance socks that have the aesthetic of a dress sock with the performance of a fitness sock. One sock all day from work to the gym. Available on www.foxfurco.com

Worked with one of the lead designers at Cyberpower PC to create a PC with servo driven articulating vents. My task was to design the small scale folding tessellated structures, the mounting structure, and the faceplate surround. A complex process.
Cyberpower PC programmed a PCB to control the vents individually.

A computer and phone repair business is moving to a new location and needed to renovate the space to make it more practical and improve the employee/customer experience.
Entrance has been changed to be more welcoming and open with glass doors.
Reception area has wood laminated desk for the office manager. A comfortable seating area allows customers to sit in comfort while they wait for their device to be repaired.
Repair technicians work spaces seen at right behind reception. Open layout allows customers to see their device being repaired. Frosted glass partition allows natural light to reach the entire office space.
Hidden doors allows the office manager or technician to efficiently interact with a customer.
View of the secondary work space shelving.
Middle space for repairs. Easy to reach shelving for new and donor parts.
Next to the kitchen is the stairs to the basement, a door to a bathroom, and a space for a packing station. Next to the packing station is a ramp to the aft work areas.
There is a direct path from the very back of the space to the front making it easy to navigate.
Additional space for offices or specialized repair services such as a clean room for hard drive repair. Existing concrete floors would be polished.
Employer and employees have an excellent view to the front of the store. Natural light is important in a quality work environment.
BNKR is conceptual layout of a bunker based living space in South/West South Dakota. The homes are retired munitions bunkers which are now available to the public to be purchased. The bunker may be industrial but the living can be luxurious.
Our approach was how can we get natural light into the space without compromising the structure or aesthetic. The addition of concrete skylights allows what is normally a dark space to be a naturally lit space. This allows a better personal connection to the nature outside and the ability to have indoor plants without the need for special grow lights.
The drone view showcases the steel patina of the portico and the series of skylights.
There are other amenities around the exterior of the home. At the very back of the home is a semi underground structure for the generator. Moving forward, a deck allows the homeowners to have a space to lounge outside and take in the views. Further forward and beside that are the solar panels and skylights.
A portico at the entrance makes ingress/egress easier in inclement weather. The painted steel post/beam and patinaed roof compliment the industrial materials of the structure.
The steel front door has a protective rust patina to compliment the other natural and industrial finishes. The nook allows you to take off your coats and shoes to prevent and dirt being tracked in.
The first area you enter through the entrance is a open layout that includes the living room area, fireplace lounge, dining area and kitchen.
A cozy space to relax and enjoy a crackling fire.
Dining area is conveniently located next to the kitchen. Includes a storage area for books or could be used as a pantry.
Kitchen with plenty of counter space with necessary amenities. The island has a cutout for dispensing of food debris while preparing a meal.
Concrete skylights are installed to allow for a more “open” bunker experience. Natural light will be allowed to flood the spaces and the owner will not be solely dependent on artificial lighting.
Hallway leads back to the office and bedrooms on the left. The first section in blued steel on the right side has an additional bathroom (first door), laundry room (second door), and a multipurpose room (third door). The multipurpose room could be used for hydroponics or for food storage. The last room on the right with the rust patina is for HVAC, power, and additional life support systems.
Plenty of room to setup a home or remote office. Most rooms have pocket doors for convenience.
Master Bedroom has two skylights so even when in bed the homeowner can stargaze. There is a walk-in closet and master bath attached to the room also. Floor accent light helps visibility or sets the mood.
Skylights in the bedroom allow the natural light in and are excellent for stargazing in bed.
The layout of the rooms are asymmetrical to allow for more spacious bedrooms.
With the growth of Brechbuhler Architects they wanted to refine the brand identity. This included a new logo, logotype, website and stationary. Other work includes architectural renderings, magazine ads and promotional material.
The logo is an abstract of lower case b and a that is extruded to give it dimension.
Job Site sign allows people passing know who designed the house.
Rendering done to show the client what their house would look like with material finishes and landscaping.
One of many single and two pages spread magazine ads.
Promotional card mailed to prospective clients. (front on left, back on right)
A new card is made each year to celebrate the holidays. This year there was an added message to all the emergency service workers who fought the fires in Montana and helped those affected by it.
An expanding block of color combined with Aspen leave shapes were used to create a gradient pattern that represent a gust of wind and the changing of seasons.
We Are Matik, a L.A. based company, created the Sonos CyFi booth where attendees could "see" sound by the implementation of cymatics. I was responsible for integrating the three Sonos products into the cymatic experience(specifically the contents inside the plexiglass showcases minus the digital displays). Here is a link to the We Are Matik website showing the experimentation and development: http://wearematik.com/work/sonos-cyfi-lab/
Little Grey Tractor is a new company based out of Boise, ID that will specialize in outdoor products.
This logo was a result of combining the shape of a leaf (representing outdoors) and a tractor tire.
Ultimately, the client choose number 3 after a discussion explaining it would be easier to apply in different uses cases since it was a less complex graphic.
First hat product. Hat was also produced in Camo and Fitted styles.
Client requested a mountain biking graphic be designed for their first shirt.
Application of the mountain bike graphic on a shirt. Used a tessellated camo pattern to give additional depth.
Client requested a skiing graphic for the winter season.

The 'Lift' collection is a new collection of household furniture. Inspired by classic Mid-Century design but with a modern aesthetic. Push-to-pull hardware allow for a minimalistic look. Made of hardwood lumber and veneer. Built to order.
Designed the new flagship XFX 7900 XTX and XT GPUs. More function was added to the form. Better heat sink, air flow, etc.

With growing popularity and availability of graphics cards supporting multiple monitors XFX developed their own stand. Not only does it hold up to three, twenty-four inch monitors, it has USB, headphone and microphone pass-through ports.
The tessellated design was inspired by the F117 stealth plane.
The XFX WarPad is designed to solve a pro gaming problem of forearm soreness due to constant contact and repeated impact against tabletop edges. It eliminates the hard unforgiving edge of any tabletop under 2 inches thick.
Form followed function when it came to designing this mousepad.
The HD 5970 Black Edition Limited was, like the triple monitor stand, inspired by modern and future weaponry. This aesthetic was then applied to successive graphics cards for the year.
Kin lamp represents the mentor/mentee relationship between brothers. Lamp to be made of slip cast ceramic and aluminum.
These are portfolio PDF's showing more of the process of developing products from inception to completion.
The first is of the XFX mouse pad called the WarPad. Unfortunately, I do not have any photos of the prototype I created out of fiberglass.
The second PDF shows the process of developing the XFX multi-monitor stand.
The third project is the new AMD flagship 7900 XTX/XT by board partner XFX Force.
The client wanted to improve the UI/UX of their site to be more competitive with similar software offerings. This was a “quick” sample of what could be done to make it more user friendly and thus more competitive. The first five screens are from their current website. The following are what I proposed could to be a starting point to change for the better.
The client wanted to build his own company starting with selling men’s boxer briefs. Before proceeding to designing the boxer briefs a brand needed. I began with a competitive analysis to see what needs have been unmet and to find out how we can differentiate his company from the others using branding and product design. The next step using what we was learned from the competitive analysis was making a name and logo. With the goal to convey the idea of elegant, peaceful, comfort and style with the brand I proceeded with creating a name. Once the name KOZZI was selected I designed the log, and once the logo was selected I designed the boxer briefs.
